Cancer Awareness Program Successfully Conducted in Gokarneshwor Municipality

Nepal Cancer Survivors’ Society (NeCaSS), in collaboration with Gokarneshwor Municipality, successfully conducted a cancer awareness program with the participation of 130 community members.

Mayor Dipak Kumar Risal shared important information about the municipality’s policies and ongoing support for cancer prevention, awareness, and patient care.

Medical experts Dr. Anjan Shrestha and Dr. Ujjal Chalise emphasized the importance of cancer awareness, early detection, and preventive measures. They highlighted how timely screening and informed lifestyle choices can help reduce cancer risks.

The President of NeCaSS spoke about the mission, role, and activities of the organization in supporting cancer survivors and spreading awareness across communities.

The entire program was effectively coordinated by cancer fighter Mr. Dhurba Prasad Humagain. Cancer survivors also shared their inspiring personal stories, which made the session emotional, educational, and meaningful for all participants.
